OUR STORY
About Cobblestone Travels

Welcome to Cobblestone Travels, where we help you design trips to broaden your mind and soul. We specialize in travel to Europe so you can explore history by standing in the places where it happened. But if you want to see the penguins settle in for the night on the rocky shores of Tasmania, we can help with that too.
Cobblestone Travels is affiliated with Oasis Travel Network, a member of Signature Travel Network. We give you the personal care and attention of a boutique agency backed up by the connections, clout and buying power of the thousands of agencies in our networks.
Let’s design a journey around your curiosity.

HISTORIAN · TRAVEL ADVISOR
I’ve created Cobblestone Travels to share my deep knowledge of history and my passion for travel with you.
I boarded my first jumbo jet at the age of five when my family moved to England. I’ve also lived in Brazil, France, the Netherlands and across the US. I’ve visited most of Europe, a good portion of North America and a fair bit of South America. Most of these journeys involved the usual modes of transportation and varieties of lodging, but I’ve also been backpacking, canoeing and kayaking in the far reaches of Alaska, British Columbia and Ontario. I’ve been known to go out of my way to visit a botanical garden or a living history museum.
In fact, I’ll always go to the history museum in any town because I’m also a historian. My teaching and research focus on the civilian experience of World War II in Europe, but I’m interested in all the before and after. There’s no better way to understand history than by traveling to the places where it happened and seeing the things that it happened with.
I believe that when you travel you should engage with the sights and experiences that interest you rather than check off the top ten places on someone else’s list. Let’s find your places and get you on your way there.
